Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Redbook Assist is a software-as-a-service platform that assists RICS chartered surveyors with valuation report preparation, property data gathering, compliance checking, and PDF report generation. The service is a tool to support professional judgement and does not replace the need for qualified valuation expertise.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Practice administrators are responsible for managing team member access.

3. Billing and Subscriptions

Subscriptions are billed monthly per seat. The free trial period is 14 days with full access to Professional plan features. After the trial, you must select a paid plan to continue using the service. Valuations beyond your plan allowance are charged at £5 each. All prices are exclusive of VAT.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any purpose other than legitimate valuation work
• Share account credentials or allow unauthorised access
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute the service
• Introduce malicious code or interfere with the service
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data beyond normal usage

5. Intellectual Property

Redbook Assist and its associated trademarks, design, and technology are owned by us. You retain ownership of all valuation data, reports, and content you create using the service. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your work product.

6. Limitation of Liability

Redbook Assist is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. While we strive for accuracy in compliance checking and data retrieval, the service does not guarantee regulatory compliance. Valuers remain professionally responsible for the accuracy and completeness of their valuations and reports.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. Upon termination, you may export your data within 30 days. After this period, your data will be deleted except where retention is required by law or professional standards.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
